Abstract

Object The thesis takes as its starting point the observation that the word "happiness" seems to be really interesting in a critical thinking applied to the relationship between art and happiness. After a brief digression on how etymologically different languages translate the word "happiness", the document focuses on the concept of "being happy" as equivalent to "choose correctly." This equivalence seems to bring us to a reassessment of the greek concept of "daimon". Nowadays, it is important to revalue the purpose and to understand how youngsters from eleven to eighteen (I chose this age group for my study), experience the perception and the message that abstract art generally communicates. It must be understood if happiness is able to highlight positive patterns through which taste can be steered and, accordingly, behavior. In this sense, a research project opens up, this aims to enter into the process of emotional experiences in front of visual spurs presented on the canvas of a painting.
