Resumen

Objetives. Evaluate the level of the program impact on children and adolescents involved and offer proposals for improvement and pedagogical tools.Methodology. The methodology used in the study was the participatory evaluation research. 19 socio-educational centers have participated; 12 interviews (with professionals, families and other stakeholders in the process), 20 observations and 58 questionnaires (to professionals and volunteers) have been carried out.Results. The results of the research process have been organized into 4 sections: a) Characteristics that have the centers and programs, according to those interviewed; b) Causes of school failure; c) Potentials and difficulties presented by the remedial education programs and d) Impacts of the program on children, adolescents and families.Conclusions. A) The PRE allow you to perform specialized actions that enable to diagnose, implement and evaluate school development processes; B) The incorporation of methodologies and actions tailored to the needs of the participants and help create positive climate for learning are key factors for the success of the process; C) The comprehensive work allows participants to set skills oriented to master academic subjects, and likewise skills and tools that will enable them to overcome challenges and seize the opportunities presented to them in their life paths; D) and collaborative joint work between the socio-educational center, the school, the family and other community agents can provide integral answers in relation to school failure; E) The need to provide the professionals with training proposals aimed at learning of specialized teaching, aimed at children and adolescents who have special difficulties in cognitive and behavioral character; F) The need for a pedagogical model to guide the comprehensive educational work of educators in a conceptual and procedural level.
