Abstract

On June 5, 2021, Organic Law 8/2021, of June 4, on the comprehensive protection of children and adolescents against violence, was published in the Official State Gazette. Articles 48 and 49 of the aforementioned standard establish the basic regulatory framework for the protection of children and adolescents against violence in the field of sport and leisure. Both precepts contain the main obligations attributed to Public Administrations and entities that carry out activities of this nature with minors on a regular basis, among which the implementation of protocols and the designation of the figure of the delegate or delegate of protection. Well, the present study delves into the essential characteristics and informative principles that should guide the implementation of the aforementioned standard in the field of educational leisure to ensure protective and safe environments for children and adolescents.
