Resumen
Al estudiar la naturaleza psicopatológica de la ansiedad antelos exámenes tenemos que hacer referencia a los componentes ydimensiones que la integran y a su incidencia en el rendimiento.A lo largo de nuestras investigaciones (Serrano & Delgado, 1990,1991; Serrano, Escolar, & Delgado, 2002) hemos podido comprobar laexistencia de datos poco claros sobre la naturaleza psicopatológica dela ansiedad ante los exámenes. En concreto, hemos observado una clarafalta de acuerdo en el número de componentes que conforman tanto ladimensión rasgo como la dimensión estado, especialmente la dimensiónrasgo (Hodapp y Benson, 1997; Richardson, O´Neil, Whitmore, y Judd,1997; Zimmer, Hocevar, Bachelor y Meinke, 1992). Esta falta de acuerdo seproduce a pesar del consenso sobre su multidimensionalidad (dimensiónrasgo y dimensión estado) y de los continuos esfuerzos realizados paracomprender mejor la estructura dimensional de este constructo.En este trabajo presentamos en primer lugar, una visión generalde la evolución que ha sufrido la conceptuación de la psicopatología(naturaleza) de la ansiedad ante los exámenes, en segundo lugar,una visión de los aspectos que la integran; por lo tanto abordamoslas dimensiones rasgo y estado y los componentes emocionalidady preocupación del constructo objeto de estudio. En tercer lugar,reflejamos los efectos que este constructo ejerce en el rendimiento delos estudiantes, y para concluir aportamos nuestra visión acerca de lapsicopatología de la ansiedad ante los exámenes.
