Résumé
The family is one of the main socializing elements, involved in early social learning and in theeducation of values, attitudes and social norms. The educational contribution of families withmembers of the Autism Spectrum Disorder is essential, as it facilitates the supports and opportunitiesfor the development of people beyond the alterations and difficulties they present. They may requiresupport and assistance from professionals inside and outside the school, to carry out their work. Thispaper analyzes the degree of importance and satisfaction of 25 families of children with ASD withthe supports and aid received to train and educate their children. The Spanish adaptation of the FamilyQuality of Life Scale (Verdugo et al., 2009) is used. The results show an adequate level of satisfactionand importance with the majority of resources and support services, although there is a certainimbalance in the evaluations in favor of importance versus satisfaction. The greatest demands forsupport refer to the availability of more time, external aids, and support to relieve your stress. Thework of professionals is essential, especially in the school context, to support families in their role asthe main and permanent support of the individual. The Family Quality of Life Scale is a very useful tool for educational professionals (teachers, counselors, psychopedagogues ...) in the assessment offamily needs and demands and the provision of support adapted to them.
